NEPTUNE CITY A 37-year-old Neptune man has been charged with stealing a truck and trailer
from a parking lot in Neptune City.
Shea B. Taylor, who lives in the Shark River Hills section of Neptune, was taken into
custody Thursday at his home and charged with second-degree theft because the value of the truck, trailer and its contents was more than $75,000.
The 2007 Ford F-450 truck and the trailer were stolen around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday from the parking lot of the Brighton Arms apartment complex, police said.
The vehicle was found around 3 p.m. that day, parked at the corner of Moore Road and Clayton Avenue in Shark River Hills.
Police said Taylor was identified as a suspect because of the location where the vehicle was found, and interviews with witnesses collaborated information collected by the investigating officers.
Detective Sgt. James Isacson, Sgt. John Matthews and Neptune Patrolman Richard Blaydes made the arrest.
Taylor was also issued a summons for driving with a suspended license.
